    Washing Machines

One of the bigger energy hogs, but i think most people would not want to go without one.

One example i found is the Staber Washing machine which uses about 5-6amps (660watts) during wash cycle and 11amps peak (1320 watts) when motor starts.  They recommend 1500watt inverter.

If you know of other washing machines or models, add to this thread.

    Re: Washing Machines

    One added bit of info!

You'll find that front load washers will typicaly use less power and water making them very good as well.

Also they seem to leave your clothing dryer so less time is required to dry them, Although not a problem if you have a large line!Wink
